The Ira Nelson Horticulture Center is a living laboratory with plants from Louisiana and around the world.

The Ira Nelson Horticulture Center is a teaching and learning resource for faculty, students and the community by offering a variety of educational opportunities in horticulture. The horticulture center includes nearly 17,000 square feet of greenhouse space which houses a diverse collection of decades-old to recently acquired plants from throughout the world. The center is part of the University's College of Sciences and the School of Geosciences.
